Applications

  • Automotive & yacht refinishing
  • Rust & paint removal
  • Weld spot grinding

The BSZ Diamond Anti-Clog Hook-and-Loop Disc is a flocked sanding disc for buyers who need a disc that stays open on paint, rust and weld-spot work. Its diamond-pattern abrasive face breaks the surface into cutting islands, leaving open paths between them so removed material has somewhere to move instead of sitting under the disc.

The disc uses calcined brown aluminum oxide with electrostatic coating on a 230 g paper base. It is made in the two common hook-and-loop diameters - 4 in (100 mm) and 5 in (125 mm) - and covers P40-P320 for wet or dry sanding.

Diamond pattern for anti-clog sanding

The diamond layout is the main difference from a plain coated disc. A continuous abrasive face can load quickly on old paint, filler, resinous timber or rust. The BSZ pattern leaves channels around each abrasive island, so the disc keeps a more open cutting face during furniture sanding, automotive refinishing and yacht surface work.

That structure also helps when the operator is moving across edges, spot repairs or welded areas. The contact face still cuts aggressively, but the open pattern makes the disc less prone to smearing loaded material over the surface.

Grit range for repair and surface preparation

P40-P320 gives this disc a practical range for stripping, leveling and preparation before finer sanding stages:

  • P40-P60 - heavy removal of rust, old coating and rough surface defects.
  • P80-P120 - general repair sanding, weld spot cleanup and shaping after coarse grinding.
  • P150-P240 - surface preparation before primer, sealer or the next finishing step.
  • P320 - finer preparation where a shallower scratch pattern is needed before moving to higher-grit papers or discs.

Most buyers stock several grits rather than one grade because the disc is used across more than one stage of a repair sequence.

4 in and 5 in hook-and-loop formats

The two listed diameters cover the common small sanding tools used in workshops. The 4 in (100 mm) disc is compact enough for tighter parts, edge work and localized spot grinding. The 5 in (125 mm) disc gives more coverage for panels, furniture parts and general refinishing work.

Both sizes use a flocked hook-and-loop back, so they mount to matching backup pads and can be changed without adhesive. That matters for mixed-grit work: a shop can move from coarse to medium grits quickly without scraping glue or throwing away a partly used disc that cannot be reattached.

Material and backing

Calcined brown aluminum oxide is specified for the abrasive grain, and the electrostatic coating places the grain evenly on the patterned face. The 230 g paper backing gives the disc enough body for flat contact while still allowing the disc to follow typical sanding contours.

The product is suitable for wet and dry sanding, so the same item can be stocked for dry repair work and applications where the user prefers water to control loading and surface heat.

Packaging and inquiry notes

BSZ diamond-pattern discs are packed 100 discs per box. The reference price shown above covers the listed 4 in and 5 in formats. For a quotation, send an inquiry with diameter, grit mix and quantity; include the target application if the order is for paint removal, rust removal, weld spot grinding or furniture sanding.
