Sanding Discs

Round hook-and-loop and anti-clog sanding discs for furniture, metal and automotive surface preparation.

Sanding discs are the workhorse of any refinishing line, and the right disc depends less on brand than on three things: the backing, the abrasive grain and the grit. This range covers round hook-and-loop discs from 4 to 9 inches, built for furniture, metal, automotive bodywork and paint-shop sanding. Below is how the discs differ and which one suits which job.

Hook-and-loop, anti-clog or soft cloth

The backing decides how the disc mounts and how it behaves on the surface. Standard hook-and-loop (velour) discs lock onto a matching backup pad and peel off without residue, so they swap fast on a production line - the Gangying Hook-and-Loop Sanding Disc is the lead line here, in the widest size and grit spread.

When paint and soft fillers keep loading up the abrasive, a diamond-pattern anti-clog face clears the swarf and holds its cut - that is the job of the BSZ Diamond Anti-Clog Hook-and-Loop Disc. For flat sanding on furniture, stone and metal where the disc needs to follow a slightly uneven surface, a conformable soft-cloth disc sits flatter than a paper-backed one.

Match the grain to the material

Calcined brown aluminum oxide is the general-purpose grain across most of this range - it fractures under load to keep a sharp edge and resists shedding on both wet and dry work. For primer and paint-shop sanding where cut rate matters most, the green specialty grain on the Gangying D98 Sanding Disc stays sharp the longer you sand, which is why it is stocked by automotive paint shops.

Sizes and grit

Discs run 4 / 5 / 7 / 9 in (100 / 125 / 180 / 230 mm) to fit random-orbital sanders, angle grinders and rotary polishers, with grit from a coarse P40 for stripping down to P1000 for fine finishing. A typical job steps through the grits without skipping more than one grade at a time, so most buyers stock a mixed-grit range rather than a single grade.

Ordering and OEM

Standard packing is 100 discs per box. Sizes and grits shown on each product page are the common stock combinations; other sizes and grits are made to order, and OEM branding on disc and box is available. For a mixed-grit quotation across the range, send us the sizes, grits and quantities you need.
