The JB-5S Tear-Off Abrasive Cloth Roll is a red soft-cloth roll for furniture carving, woodworking polishing and detail hand sanding. Instead of a large sheet, it gives the operator small tear-off segments that can be folded, wrapped or held directly against carved and profiled work.
The listed models are JB-5S / TJ113. Segment sizes are 75 x 93 mm (4 in) and 75 x 112 mm (4.5 in), with a P60-P600 grit range and other standard grits made to order.
A roll for carving benches
Carving and detail sanding do not always need a machine pad. The operator may need a small piece that can reach into a relief cut, around a turned detail or along a narrow edge. The JB-5S roll is built around that habit: tear off a segment, fold it to the needed shape and work by hand.
The soft cloth backing is the physical reason this works. It can lie against irregular woodwork without behaving like a stiff paper sheet. The red color and roll format also make it easy to identify on a bench or in a distributor display.
Segment sizes
Two segment formats are listed:
- 75 x 93 mm (4 in) - a compact piece for carved detail, narrow profiles and small hand-sanding areas.
- 75 x 112 mm (4.5 in) - a longer segment when the operator wants a little more coverage while keeping the same hand-control feel.
Both are still small enough for folding and profile work. Packing is one roll, so the buyer should quote by roll quantity and segment size.
P60-P600 working range
The grit range covers shaping through finer hand polishing:
- P60-P100 - stronger sanding where the woodwork or detail area needs visible correction.
- P120-P240 - general woodworking polishing and preparation.
- P320-P600 - finer hand sanding before the next finish step.
Other standard grits can be made to order for buyers who want a specific local range.
